ChemWriter content requires the Java browser plugin (1.4.2+). If you see the message Plugin Not Found at the top of this page, Java is either not installed on your system or has been disabled on your browser. You can either download and install Java yourself by visiting the Sun Microsystems Java site or follow the instructions below to install without leaving this site.
Install Java From This Page
To install Java directly
from this page, click on the thin strip at the top of this page that reads
This website wants to install the following.... Choose
Install ActiveX Control. A popup message will then appear
asking "Do you want to install this software?". Clicking the
Install button will bring up a wizard that will guide your
through the installation process. When complete, this page will reload and
you should see the message "Java OK" at the top.
Don't See the Strip?
If you don't see the
"This website wants to install..." message at the top of this page, Java
is installed on your system, but it's disabled. To enable Java, begin by
clicking on the gear icon at the top right of your browser window. A menu
will appear containing an entry called Manage Add-ons.
Move your mouse over this entry and another menu called Enable or
Disable Addons will appear. Clicking on it will bring you to the
Manage Add-ons window.
The Add-ons window should display a group of disabled add-ons at the top of the window, one of which should be the Java add-on. Click on it, choose the Enable radio button, and click on the OK button. Re-loading this page, should produce the message Plugin OK at the top.
